Quantifying Strain and Its Effect on Charge Transport in Ge/Si Core/Shell Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates strain engineering in Ge/Si core–shell nanowires (CS NWs) by tuning the Ge core‐Si shell dimensions. Polarization‐resolved µ‐Raman and geometrical phase analysis quantify the resulting strain. Electronic transport measurements demonstrate record hole mobilities up to 25 400 cm2/Vs, highlighting these Ge/Si CS NWs as a promising ...

Fiscal policy with credit constrained households [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper explores the effects of discretionary fiscal policy in a DSGE model that explicitly models housing investment and allows for credit constrained households along the lines of the financial accelerator literature. The presence of credit ...

Reconfigurable Spoof Plasmonic Skyrmion Electronics for Deformation‐Invariant Multimode Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible multimode sensor based on capacitively loaded spoof plasmonic skyrmions enables deformation‐invariant dielectric sensing with ultra‐compact size and high Q‐factor. Near‐equidistant resonances remain stable under shape change and bending, while capacitor loading improves bending robustness and multimode sensitivity, highlighting strong ...

Fiscal Foresight and the Effects of Government Spending [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the effects of government spending by using a structural, large dimensional, dynamic factor model. We find that the government spending shock is non-fundamental for the variables commonly used in the structural VAR literature, so that its ...

Ultra‐Wide‐Field Noninvasive Imaging Through Scattering Media Via Physics‐Guided Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose a physics‐guided adaptive dual‐domain learning method for ultra‐wide‐field noninvasive imaging through scattering media, namely UNI‐Net. Our method not only reduces the requirement for real experimental data by an order of magnitude but also enables clear imaging of complex scenes with an ultra‐large field of view, which is 164 times the OME

Memristive Physical Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Memristors’ nonlinear dynamics and input‐dependent memory effects make them ideal candidates for high‐performance physical reservoir computing (RC). Based on their conductance modulation, memristors can be classified as electronic or optoelectronic types.

The Choice of the Best Tax Base to Finance Fiscal Stimulus Programs in Iran Using a Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Model [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهشهای اقتصادی, 2019
The application of fiscal stimulus programs (FSPs) to achieve economic growth requires knowing the source of its funding, because different methods and various taxation bases for financing of the FSPs affect their effectiveness and influence the economy.

Impacts of Tourism and Fiscal Expenditure on Remote Islands in Japan: A Panel Data Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Japan consists of many small inhabited islands in addition to four main islands. We examine the impact of fiscal expenditure and the number of tourists on per capita taxable income in remote islands using panel data analysis.
