Photonic‐Enabled Energy‐Efficient Transparent Neuromorphic Computing Devices: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transparent photonic neuromorphic computing devices merge optics and brain‐inspired computing to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks with ultrafast, low‐energy processing. By exploiting transparent oxides, 2D materials, phase‐change materials, and hybrid heterostructures, these platforms enable photonic synapses, memory, and logic for see‐through edge ...

State Fiscal Policies and Regional Economic Activity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, I estimate a structural panel vector autoregression to study the consequences of changes in U.S. state government fiscal policies for local economic activity in the short-term.

Photoresponse Properties of Ambipolar Transport in WSe2 Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the photoresponse of WSe2 ambipolar field‐effect transistors, which exhibit unipolar, saturation, and ambipolar transport regions. Light illumination induces a shift of critical voltage with enhanced photocurrent generation driven by the photogating effect without the material degradation seen in avalanche photodetectors. This study

Fiscal multipliers in Ireland using FIR-GEM model. ESRI WP636, September 2019 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This article employs the newly developed FIR-GEM model to compute fiscal multipliers in Ireland for the main tax-spending policy instruments, namely government consumption, public investment, public wages, public transfers, consumption, capital and ...

Electrode‐Engineered Dual‐Mode Multifunctional Lead‐Free Perovskite Optoelectronic Memristors for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A lead‐free perovskite memristive solar cell structure that call emulate both synaptic and neuronal functions controlled by light and electric fields depending on top electrode type. ABSTRACT Memristive devices based on halide perovskites hold strong promise to provide energy‐efficient systems for the Internet of Things (IoT); however, lead (Pb ...

Model‐Based Time‐Modulated Write Algorithm for 1R Analog Memristive Crossbar Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A novel model‐based time‐modulated write algorithm efficiently programs analog 1R memristive crossbar arrays by varying pulse duration at a fixed voltage. By leveraging a physics‐based compact model and a dynamic gain mechanism, this approach overcomes device nonlinearities and parasitic effects.

Testing self-financing public investment: Evidence from an oil-exporting economy

open access: yesJournal of Government and Economics
We revisit the fiscal return to public investment using a present-value self-financing criterion that can be interpreted as a benchmark decision rule for a revenue-constrained government in oil-exporting economies.

Experimental Demonstration of Temporally Aware Fault‐Tolerant Sensor Fusion Using Memristive Associative Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In dynamic driving scenarios, the proposed approach ensures only temporally aligned sensor inputs to make driving decisions, preventing false activations. By enabling selective hardware‐level learning, it achieves fast, reliable responses under noisy conditions.
