Practice of assessing the resources of fish in Peter the Great Bay by data of Danish seine catches

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО, 2018
Marine biological resources are usually assessed by trawl surveys; methods of these surveys are well-developed. However, number of fish populations is too high to be completely assessed by scientific surveys, so the data of commercial fishery have to be ...

A Chirality‐Converted Bacteriolytic Dodecapeptide Regulates Vibrio‐Induced Polymicrobial Infection and Ameliorates Invasion‐Associated Gut Microbiota Disequilibrium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multidrug‐resistant Vibrio infections are rising rapidly and threaten coastal populations worldwide. This study introduces D‐zp37, a chirality‐engineered antimicrobial peptide with exceptional potency against resistant Vibrio species. D‐zp37 kills planktonic cells, blocks mixed‐species biofilms, disrupts essential bacterial stress responses, and shows ...

Fishery Management Enforcement Gradients to Achieve Fishery Goals

open access: yesFishes
Marine protected areas (MPAs) can allow some fish populations to rebuild within their borders in areas impacted by overfishing, but the effectiveness of reserves is highly dependent on how effectively fishing mortality is controlled, which in turn ...
