Fishing‐gear restrictions and biomass gains for coral reef fishes in marine protected areas
Abstract Considerable empirical evidence supports recovery of reef fish populations with fishery closures. In countries where full exclusion of people from fishing may be perceived as inequitable, fishing‐gear restrictions on nonselective and destructive gears may offer socially relevant management alternatives to build recovery of ...

OsGSK2‐OsTCP19 module regulating nitrate response and lateral root (LR) development. Low‐nitrate condition results in reduced BR response, accumulation of OsGSK2 and phosphorylated OsTCP19, which suppresses the expression of nitrate‐responsive genes and LR‐development genes and impairs rice growth.

High‐Performance Recycling Biobased Photopolymers for 3D Printing
By using biobased phenols like eugenol, novel biobased photopolymers containing dissociative phenol‐carbamate bonds are designed for 3D printing. Meanwhile, a “mixed‐monomer assisted recycling” strategy is proposed to recycle the materials. The resulting materials not only achieve high‐performance and excellent chemical recyclability simultaneously ...

Season- and depth-dependent variability of a demersal fish assemblage in a large fjord estuary (Puget Sound, Washington) [PDF]
Fjord estuaries are common along the northeast Pacific coastline, but little information is available on fish assemblage structure and its spatiotemporal variability. Here, we examined changes in diversity metrics, species biomasses, and biomass spectra (

Recovery trends of commercial fish: the case of an underperforming Mediterranean marine protected area [PDF]
Temporal trends in the recovery of exploited species in marine protected areas (MPAs) are useful for a proper assessment of the efficacy of protection measures.

Appropriate butylene oxide (BO) functionalization of amines (polyethyleneimine (PEI1200 and PEI300) and tris(2‐aminoethyl)amine (TREN)) enables excellent cyclic working capacities (WCcyclic) at low desorption temperatures (40−70°C). Notably, 0.30BO‐PEI300‐SY and 0.54BO‐TREN‐SY show the highest WCcyclic at 45 and 40°C, respectively.

Advanced Dental Composite Technology via Bisilanized Dual‐Action Nanofillers for Biofilm Control
A multimodal research strategy has led to the development of an innovative resin‐based composite (RBC) with dual antibacterial action. The S_CM‐RBC formula showed strong antibiofilm activity, excellent mechanical strength, and biosafety. It effectively controlled oral bacteria in prevention of caries recurrence, and maintained pulp health in a rat ...
