We identified the endothelial RAP2A as a regulator of inflammatory endothelial activation in experimental lung fibrosis and suggest that targeting RAP2A‐mediated signaling may represent a potential strategy to modulate endothelial–immune crosstalk during fibrotic lung injury.

Fishery Management Enforcement Gradients to Achieve Fishery Goals
Marine protected areas (MPAs) can allow some fish populations to rebuild within their borders in areas impacted by overfishing, but the effectiveness of reserves is highly dependent on how effectively fishing mortality is controlled, which in turn ...

Determining the factors that limit abundance and biomass of fish is fundamental to effective fisheries management. In streams, pool availability, cover, and habitat complexity often limit fish—particularly salmonids—and many restoration efforts are ...

Practice of assessing the resources of fish in Peter the Great Bay by data of Danish seine catches
Marine biological resources are usually assessed by trawl surveys; methods of these surveys are well-developed. However, number of fish populations is too high to be completely assessed by scientific surveys, so the data of commercial fishery have to be ...

Effects of harvesting methods on sustainability of a bay scallop fishery: dredging uproots seagrass and displaces recruits [PDF]
Fishing is widely recognized to have profound effects on estuarine and marine ecosystems (Hammer and Jansson, 1993; Dayton et al., 1995). Intense commercial and recreational harvest of valuable species can result in population collapses of target and ...

This study develops a 3D co‐culture and co‐differentiation system for porcine muscle stem cells (pMuSCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (pMSCs) on edible starch‐based scaffolds. The system simultaneously generates myotubes and adipocytes without using serum or chemical inducers.

This study presents a novel strategy for periodontitis treatment by co‐delivering a membrane‐ and ribosome‐targeting antimicrobial peptide GF and Irisin through a pH‐responsive metal‐organic framework. The system enables sequential release, providing rapid antibacterial action, anti‐inflammatory and antioxidative effects, as well as promoting bone ...

Season- and depth-dependent variability of a demersal fish assemblage in a large fjord estuary (Puget Sound, Washington) [PDF]
Fjord estuaries are common along the northeast Pacific coastline, but little information is available on fish assemblage structure and its spatiotemporal variability. Here, we examined changes in diversity metrics, species biomasses, and biomass spectra (

Biomass‐derived lignin is used as a sustainable precursor to synthesize Mo single atoms anchored on a nitrogen‐coordinated carbon framework. As the Mo structure transitions from MoC clusters to isolated single‐atom sites, oxygen evolution reaction (ORR) activity progressively improves.
