Antimicrobial activity of honeybee venom against fish pathogenic bacteria
In this study, we examined antimicrobial activity of the bee venom isolated from honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) against fish pathogenic bacteria, Edwardsiella tarda, Vibrio ichthyoenteri and Streptococcus iniae of cultured olive flounder, Paralichthys olvaceus.

Evaluation of aggregation abilities between commensal fish bacteria and pathogens
Aquaculture, 2012Abstract Bacterial aggregation is related to cell-to-cell adherence between bacteria of the same or different strains. This phenomenon is known to have an important role in microbial interactions and in aquaculture. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the aggregation properties of bacterial candidates for fish probiotics and to assess these

[The occurrence of bacteria pathogenic for humans in freshwater fish].
DTW. Deutsche tierarztliche Wochenschrift, 1990Freshwater fish are of minor importance as vectors of food-borne disease in humans. These diseases can only rarely be traced back to bacterial pathogens. However, there is a number of bacteria with facultative pathogenicity for man, which are part of the natural aquatic environment. Among these bacteria, the motile aeromonads (A.
