Thermal pyrolysis of fresh and waste fishing nets
Waste Management, 2005Kinetic tests on the pyrolysis of nylon-6 taken from fresh (new) fishing nets and waste fishing nets were conducted using thermogravimetric analysis at heating rates of 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 degrees C/min. The main region of decomposition of both materials was between 340 and 440 degrees C at each heating rate.

Utilization of fish solid wastes
Fishing for fertilisers in aquaculture waste
EU ResearchThe land-based aquaculture sector is growing rapidly, generating large quantities of sludge and other types of biowaste. The team behind the Terraforming LIFE project are looking to create pathways to use this fish sludge in producing fertiliser, part of the wider goal of shifting towards a circular economy where resources are re-used, as Sigurður ...

Fish Waste as a Potential Feed Ingredient for Fish Meal Production
The fisheries and aquaculture sector has increased production in present, however, the products aren’t utilized to their full economic potential, leading to the generation of waste. Disposal of seafood wastes because of not only substantial environmental pollution but also a loss of the prospective value of such goods stressed the prominence of findingAfreen, S. M. M. S. +3 more
