A study of Fisher Effect in India. [PDF]
In this paper, the relationship between nominal interest rate and inflation is analyzed based on Fisher Effect (FE) theory. As per FE theory, the difference between nominal interest rate and expected inflation is equal to real interest rate. The theory proposes that a rise in expected inflation can lead to positive impact on nominal interest rate when ...

The Relationship between Nominal Interest Rates and Inflation in Iraq
The main objective of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the nominal interest rates and inflation rate, and to verify the presence of the Fisher effect in Iraq during the period 2005M01 to 2016M12.

Is it really the Fisher effect? [PDF]
Many researchers have used a cointegration approach to test for the Fisher effect. This note argues that the cointegration of the nominal interest rate and the inflation rate is consistent with any theory implying a stationary ex post real interest rate and so is not a sufficient condition for the Fisher effect to hold.

Inflation, Exchange Rates and Interest Rates in Ghana: an Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model
This paper investigates the impact of exchange rate movement and the nominal interest rate on inflation in Ghana. It also looks at the presence of the Fisher Effect and the International Fisher Effect scenarios.

Structural Breaks, Inflation and Interest Rates: Evidence from the G7 Countries
This study reconsiders the common unit root/co-integration approach to test for the Fisher effect for the economies of the G7 countries. We first show that nominal interest and inflation rates are better represented as I(0) variables.
