Can asymmetries account for the empirical failure of the Fisher effect in South Africa? [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates whether unobserved asymmetries can account for irregularities in the Fisher effect for the exclusive case of South Africa. This objective is attained by investigating unit roots within a threshold auto-regressive (TAR) models and ...

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF APPLYING CONSTRUCTIVE CONTROVERSY METHOD IN GAINING STUDENT’S CRITICAL THINKING FOR WRITING ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY

open access: yesGetsempena English Education Journal, 2018
This research examined the effectiveness of applying Constructive Controversy method in terms of gaining student’s critical thinking, thus their argumentative writing become solid.

Panel Cointegration Tests of the Fisher Hypothesis

open access: yes, 2005
Recent empirical studies suggest that the Fisher hypothesis, stating that inflation and nominal interest rates should cointegrate with a unit parameter on inflation, does not hold, a finding at odds with many theoretical models.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

The long-run Fisher effect: can it be tested? [PDF]

open access: yes
Empirical support for the long-run Fisher effect, a hypothesis that a permanent change in inflation leads to an equal change in the nominal interest rate, has been hard to come by. This paper provides a plausible explanation of why past studies have been

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Fisher effect in nonlinear STAR framework: some evidence from Asia [PDF]

open access: yes
This study tests the presence of the long run Fisher effect in eight Asian economies. Using monthly data and a variety of interest rates, the paper employs a recent nonlinear methodology to capture the long run relationship between the nominal interest ...

Alternative Specifications of Fisher Hypothesis: An Empirical Investigation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Fisher hypothesis provides theoretical framework for the study of relationship between nominal interest rate and inflation. It assumes one to one direct relationship between nominal interest rate and inflation.

Reconsiderando o efeito Fisher: uma análise de cointegração entre taxas de juros e inflação
Rethinking the Fisher Effect: a co-integration analysis between interest rates and inflation
[PDF]

open access: yesNova Economia, 2003
This paper investigates the validity of the Fisher effect hypothesis that it is the interest rate which moves to adjust to the anticipated changes in the rate of inflation.
