This review examines passive, active, and hybrid liquid manipulation strategies, highlighting hybrid approaches as an emerging route to reconcile energy efficiency with adaptive control. By actively reconstructing passive surfaces to store programmable interfacial energy, hybrid systems enable flexible yet low‐power liquid transport, with perspectives ...

Soft Skins With Reversible Thickness Morphing: Materials, Mechanisms, and Applications
Evolution of electronic skin (e‐skin) technologies toward adaptive, multifunctional soft skins. Phase I highlights early rigid and discrete sensory interfaces. Phase II shows the transition toward flexible, stretchable, and large‐area e‐skin. Phase III captures the emergence of computational e‐skin.

Adsorption‐Engineered Hydrocarbon Ionomers for Durable Proton‐Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
Hydrocarbon ionomers suffer from oxidation‐driven interfacial degradation in PEM fuel cell cathodes, leading to catalyst instability. Here, adsorption‐engineered poly(fluorene) ionomers decouple interfacial anchoring from oxidative degradation, enabling strong catalyst–ionomer interactions while resisting electrochemical oxidation.

Spatiotemporal control over cell behavior within bioprinted constructs remains a key challenge in biofabrication. Volumetric bioprinting using multi‐wavelength light sources permits to activate light‐sensitive intracellular proteins as well as optogenetic gene and protein expression circuits in bioprinted cells, in addition to enabling fast printing of

Ultrathin MXene/EMF composite foams achieve a specific shielding efficiency of 749.6 dB.dB·cm3$\mathrm{dB}\cdot {\mathrm{cm}}^{3}$/g, while the silver‐enhanced MXene/Ag/EMF reaches 81.4 dB shielding effectiveness at just 1.0 mm thickness. Both composites exhibit rapid Joule heating, retain stability up to 250∘C$^\circ{\rm C}$, and withstand 1000 ...

Surrogate‐Optimized Flow‐Guided Miniature Condenser for Rapid Exhaled Glucose Detection
A surrogate‐optimized miniature condenser guides humid exhaled flow toward cold surfaces to accelerate exhaled breath condensate collection. By improving vapor access within a compact footprint, the design increases sample yield. This enables post‐collection enrichment and rapid colorimetric glucose detection from dilute exhaled biomarkers within a 5 ...

Nanopatterned Dual‐Carbon‐Dot Photonic Films With Enhanced Light Outcoupling
Nanoimprinted dual‐carbon‐dot/PVA films combine composition‐tunable blue–green emission with grating‐mediated directional light outcoupling. Water‐processable B‐CD and G‐CD composites are patterned by drying‐assisted nanoimprinting, producing angle‐selective emission peaks that follow the first‐order diffraction condition and exhibit reference ...

Management of Multispecies Fisheries
Science, 1979With the overexploitation of many conventional fish stocks, and growing interest in harvesting new kinds of food from the sea, there is increasing need for managers of fisheries to take account of interactions among species. In particular, as Antarctic krill-fishing industries grow, there is a need to agree upon sound principles for managing the ...
