esults of salmon fishery in the Khabarovsk Region in 2024

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО
The catch of pacific salmon in the water bodies of the Khabarovsk Territory in 2024 was initially forecasted in 51.7∙103 t. During the fishing season, one adjustment was made for pink salmon in the Primorye fishing subzone where the allowable annual ...

Innovative Approaches to Modelling and Forecasting in Fisheries: A Critical Review

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries
ABSTRACT Fisheries management increasingly demands robust forecasting tools to address growing environmental variability, anthropogenic pressures and complex ecological dynamics. This review systematically examines innovative modelling and forecasting approaches in fisheries, focusing on their descriptions, applications, strengths and

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

An observing system for the collection of fishery and oceanographic data [PDF]

open access: yesOcean Science, 2007
Fishery Observing System (FOS) was developed as a first and basic step towards fish stock abundance nowcasting/forecasting within the framework of the EU research program Mediterranean Forecasting System: Toward an Environmental Prediction (MFSTEP).

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

The Fishing Ground Analysis and Forecasting Information System for Chinese Oceanic Fisheries

open access: yes, 2016
Chinese oceanic fisheries have already covered seven main ocean area, including East Pacific, West Pacific, Middle Atlantic, North Pacific, Southeast Pacific, Southwest Atlantic and Indian Ocean. Based on the ocean environment data obtained from remote sensing and fishing historical data, the fishing ground analysis and forecasting information system ...

Price Uncertainty, Expectations Formation and Fishers' Location Choices [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper deals with the effects of uncertain output prices upon fishers' location choices. It employs ARIMA models to construct the price forecasts used by fishers in a model which generates expected profits for three fishing locations in the British ...

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.
