E.H.P. Estimation of High Speed Fishing Boats by Some Existing Methods [PDF]
In recent years, the speed of coastal fishing boats are increasing up to 1.0 or more in Froude number. So the designers of fishing boats require the developement of the estimation methods of E.H.P. (effective horse power) in high Froude number. Therefore,

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Estimating the Value of Variations in Anglers' Success Rates: An Application of the Multiple-Site Travel Cost Method [PDF]
An estimation method is presented to measure sport fishermen's valuation of exogenous changes in fishing quality (catch rates). A theoretical model is initially presented to show how variations in prevailing catch rates influence an angler's valuation of

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Identifying Fishing Activities from AIS Data with Conditional Random Fields [PDF]
Fishing activity detection is important for fishery management to maintain abundant oceans. The rising demand for fish and advanced fishing technologies has led to overfishing, species endangerment and marine habitat destruction.

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

THE EFFECT OF MODELING SUBSTITUTE ACTIVITIES ON RECREATIONAL BENEFIT ESTIMATES [PDF]
We use a nested-logit model of recreational fishing to examine how varying the range of fishing activities included in the choice set affects welfare measures.
