An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Sturgeon fishing in the Middle and Lower Danube region [PDF]
Migrating sturgeons were the largest fish in the middle and lower Danube region. Most of these species, however, have been brought to the brink of extinction by habitat loss and overfishing. This review is a synthesis of sporadic archaeological evidence,

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Practices of Illegal Fishing in Pemalang Region: A Policy Analysis
The use of unsustainable fishing gear has resulted in the decline of fish resources and threatens the sustainability of fish resources. This can cause harm to the state and the interests of the fishermen themselves.

The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Fishing Power Functions in Aggregate Bioeconomic Models [PDF]
A method for estimating fishing power in the Beverton-Holt tradition in the absence of firm-level data is developed. This enables the construction of a standardized measure of fishing effort that can facilitate the analysis and implementation of various ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

STACS: A Spatiotemporal Adaptive Clustering–Segmentation Algorithm for Fishing Activity Recognition
To ensure sustainable marine resource utilization, advanced monitoring methods are urgently needed to mitigate overfishing and ecological imbalances. Conventional fishing activity detection methods, including speed threshold-based approaches and Gaussian
