The electrochemical reduction of carbamazepine in ethanol and water using a glassy carbon electrode has been studied. In all experimental conditions of scan rate and concentration of carbamazepine an irreversible cathodic wave was observed by cyclic ...

Dark holograms and gravitational waves
Spectra of stochastic gravitational waves (GW) generated in cosmological first-order phase transitions are computed within strongly correlated theories with a dual holographic description. The theories are mostly used as models of dark sectors.

CdV2O4: A rare example of a collinear multiferroic spinel
By studying the dielectric properties of the geometrically frustrated spinel CdV2O4, we observe ferroelectricity developing at the transition into the collinear antiferromagnetic ground state.

Top Quark Flavor Changing Couplings at a Muon Collider
There is growing interest in the development of a muon collider that would make it possible to produce lepton collisions at energies of several TeV. Among others, there can be significant contributions to electroweak gauge boson, Higgs boson, and top ...

Green Scalar Function Method for Analyzing Dielectric Media
In this work we present a formalism based on scalar Green’s functions to deal with electromagnetic scattering problems. Although the formulations of the Mie theory and Born approximations in terms of electromagnetic scattering are well known and relevant,

A theoretical study of transition probabilities and lifetimes for the Sn III: core polarization effects [PDF]
Data on atomic properties are not only relevant to spectroscopy, but these values are of interest in a variety of other fields in physics and technology.

Power Corrections to Perturbative QCD and OPE in Gluon Green Functions [PDF]
We show that QCD Green functions in Landau Gauge exhibit sizable $O(1/\mu^2)$ corrections to the expected perturbative behavior at energies as high as 10 GeV. We argue that these are due to a $$-condensate which does not vanish in Landau gauge.Comment: 3

Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Dissipative solitons signature in achiral Néel magnetic domain walls driven by spin-orbit torque
Magnetic domain walls offer a compelling platform for investigating non-linear spatio-temporal phenomena due to their rich internal dynamics under external stimuli. Here, we investigate the dynamics of achiral Néel domain walls (DWs) driven by spin-orbit

Self-assembly of active amphiphilic Janus particles
In this article, we study the phenomenology of a two dimensional dilute suspension of active amphiphilic Janus particles. We analyze how the morphology of the aggregates emerging from their self-assembly depends on the strength and the direction of the ...
