Space Vector PWM Based DTC Scheme With Reduced Common Mode Voltage for Five-Phase Induction Motor Drive

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2021
In multiphase induction motor drives, lowering the common-mode voltage (CMV) reduces motor insulation degradation and the existence of destructive bearing current. For this investigation, a five-phase two-level voltage source inverter (FPTL-VSI) fed five-

IFOC of five-phase induction motor drive

2013 International Conference on Power, Energy and Control (ICPEC), 2013
This paper presents an indirect field oriented control (IFOC) of five-phase induction motor drive fed by a five-phase inverter using mat lab/simulink. IFOC is an established control method for high dynamic performance AC drives and the control is simple and highly reliable. Three phase induction motors have many well recognized advantages however their

Direct Torque Control of Five-Phase Induction Motor Drives With xy Current Regulation Under an Open-Phase Fault-Condition

European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics, 2023
Switching table-based direct torque control (DTC) for multiphase drives performs well but is drastically overshadowed by high harmonic contents of the stator currents caused by uncontrolled xy subspace.

Five-phase induction motor behaviour under faulted conditions

2008 Annual IEEE India Conference, 2008
In this paper, simple phase variable model of a five-phase induction motor drive is presented. The model is implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. A number of electrical faults which are common in inverter fed drives are created. The faults considered are open circuit faults in one phase and two phases.

Reduction of Stator Flux Ripple and Current Harmonic Distortion using Constant Switching Flux Controller-based DTC of Five-Phase Induction Motor

IEEE Latin America Transactions, 2023
A five-phase induction motor's classical hysteresis-based DTC exhibits excellent dynamics and suffers from higher torque and flux ripple, higher current %THD, and variable switching frequencies that vary with speed.

Five-phase induction motor drive with sine-wave filter

2014 IEEE 23rd International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2014
The paper presents closed-loop ac drive with 5-phase induction motor operating with voltage source inverter and sine-wave filter. The motor supply voltages and currents have sinusoidal shape. For well known adjustable electric drives the field oriented control method with flux and speed control can be applied.

New Switch Ladder Topology For Five Phase Multilevel Inverter Fed Five Phase Induction Motor

2018 International Conference on Recent Innovations in Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ICRIEECE), 2018
A five phase induction motor is modeled in the MATLAB simulink and a New Five Phase Multilevel Inverter is presented for the 5-ϕ IM to generate a maximum output voltage levels. In this topology symmetric and asymmetric source are considered and the output levels are analysed.
