Variable speed field-oriented controlled induction generator
Conference Record of 1998 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. Thirty-Third IAS Annual Meeting (Cat. No.98CH36242), 2002In this work, a new induction generator system (IG), to work with variable speed and load, is proposed. The objective is to make it work as a stand alone (not grid connected) generator to produce constant voltage and variable frequency AC current. The IG is based on a three-phase induction machine (IM) exited, simultaneously, by a capacitor bank and a ...

Parameter sensitivity of indirect universal field oriented controllers
PESC '91 Record 22nd Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1994The universal field-oriented (UFO) controller was developed to decouple flux and torque in an arbitrary synchronous flux reference frame, realizing a high degree of generality which makes the UFO controller compatible with all existing field-oriented controllers, including indirect and direct field orientation.

Current measurement of digital field oriented control
IAS '96. Conference Record of the 1996 IEEE Industry Applications Conference Thirty-First IAS Annual Meeting, 1996This paper studies current measurement issues of all digital field oriented control of AC motors. The paper focuses on the effect of an antialiasing filter and also on the sampling of the fundamental components of the motor current. The antialiasing filter, which suppresses the high frequency component of the motor current, introduces cross coupling ...

Field-oriented control of saturated induction machines
IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 1990A nonlinear, field-oriented model is described for saturated induction machines. The model is an extended version of the rotor-flux-oriented dynamic model developed by W. Leonhard (1985), which is valid under linear magnetic conditions and is used in a wide range of applications. The effects of main flux saturation are discussed.

Field oriented control of a synchronous drive
IEEE International Conference on Electric Machines and Drives, 2005., 2005Field oriented control (FOC) may be used for simple high-power synchronous drives, such as pumps and fans, to unify system with asynchronous drives. But distinction is strong influence of torque component of current on flux. Internal feedback in control object is investigated. This feedback becomes positive one in definite regimes. A simple addition in

Indirect Field Oriented Control for Induction Motor
2011 Fourth International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology, 2011Indirect Field Oriented Control (IFOC) is known to produce high performance in induction Motor (IM) drives by decoupling rotor flux and torque producing current components of stator current. The decoupling control between the rotor flux and the torque is no longer achieved in terms of stator current components this paper introduces a decoupled rotor ...

Field oriented control drives for naval mechanisms
IEEE EUROCON 2009, 2009In this paper, the authors propose the embracing of a solution regarding the implementation of the direct vector control in torque and flux on the induction motor with squirrel cage rotor for the electrical drive systems of the naval mechanisms. Through this is desired the replacement of the actual technical solution, at which for the drive of the ...

Field oriented control of synchronous reluctance machine
Proceedings of IEEE Power Electronics Specialist Conference - PESC '93, 2002Control strategies, practical implementation and performance issues related to field-oriented control of synchronous reluctance motors are presented. In particular, a speed invariant current controller, variable d-q current limit and variable speed loop gain are proposed.

Parameter insensitive controllers for field-oriented controlled induction machines
Proceedings of 5th International Conference on Power Electronics and Variable-Speed Drives, 1994The paper describes practical experiences of the use of a digital sliding mode controller for control of an inverter fed induction machine. It is shown that such a controller has several advantages in comparison to a conventional PI controller. Through linearisation of the nonlinear controller, the method of pole assignment can be used. The programming

Adaptive field oriented control of induction motors
1997 European Control Conference (ECC), 1997In systems without converters for measuring the stator voltages, only reduced order observers based on the current equations are seen. Full order rotor flux observers are not applicable because stator voltage measurements are used. This problem is in this paper managed by an adaptive approach leading to a completely new method called Field Angle ...
