Adição de NaCI em soluções fixadoras - observações histológicas e histoquímicas
Addition of NaCl in fixative solutions - histological and histochemical observations

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Sociais e Humanas, 1981

Coincident Fluorescence‐Burst Analysis of Actin Cargo Molecules in Secreted Single Diffusing Extracellular Vesicles From Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a two‐color FCCS and coincident‐burst analysis platform to quantify actin cargo in dual‐labeled EVs secreted from hiPSCs. The approach tracks secretion dynamics, confirms actin loading, and measures EV size and cargo number, offering insights into cytoskeletal disruption and neuronal differentiation relevant to neurodegenerative ...

Mapping the Non‐Canonical Splicing Variants: Decrypting the Hidden Genetic Architecture of Idiopathic Male Infertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study highlights the significance of non‐canonical splicing variants in male infertility, a factor often overlooked during the analysis of high‐throughput sequencing data. Incorporating the non‐canonical splicing variants prioritization in the genetic analysis pipeline will increase the genetic diagnosis of patients with male infertility ...

The Effect of Primary Fixation with Standard Postfixation and the Duration of Hydrolysis on Nuclear Features in Image Cytometry

open access: yesAnalytical Cellular Pathology, 1998
The effect of three primary fixation procedures, used in the preparation of routine cytological samples: air-drying, Delaunay, and Saccomanno fixation, with postfixation in modified Böhm–Sprenger fixative, on nuclear features as a function of hydrolysis ...

Institutional Fixes Versus Fixed Institutions

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2008
A number of philosophers, policy thinkers and activists have despaired over the prospect that global institutions can bring progressive change to the international order. They advocate that those who would change things should place their hopes in global social movements rather than global institutions.

Halorotetin B, A Novel Terpenoid Compound Derived from Marine Ascidian, Suppresses Tumor Growth by Targeting the Cell Cycle Regulator UBE2C

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Halorotetin B, a novel small‐molecule terpenoid identified from an edible marine ascidian, exhibits strong anti‐tumor activity both in vitro and in vivo through direct targeting UBE2C to induce tumor cell cycle arrest and then lead tumor cell senescence. As a newly discovered UBE2C inhibitor, Halorotetin B can serve as a novel potential cell senescence

DNA Nanoflower LYTACs Enable Efficient VEGF Degradation and Verteporfin Loading for Combined Therapy of Wet Age‐Related Macular Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated approach that combines a DNA nanoflower VEGF degrader with photodynamic therapy is developed for the treatment of wet age‐related macular degeneration, which reduces the risk of VEGF reactivation‐induced CNV recurrence and minimizes the systemic side effects associated with photodynamic therapy.

Zinc-based fixative as a novel approach for histological preservation: A comparative study with formalin-based fixatives

open access: yesOpen Veterinary Journal
Background: Formalin is a widely used histological fixative despite its carcinogenic properties, inadequate nucleic acids preservation, and prolonged fixation time. Aim: The study intended to prepare a novel zinc-based fixative which is, formalin-free,

Acetylation Regulates ACSL4 Degradation Through Chaperone‐Mediated Autophagy to Alleviate Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intervertebral disc degeneration is triggered by ACSL4 accumulation‐mediated ferroptosis of nucleus pulposus cells due to CMA dysfunction. KAT2B promotes ACSL4 degradation via CMA through acetylation. AAV‐mediated LAMP2A delivery or engineered exosomes rescue nucleus pulposus cell senescence and disc degeneration.

Targeting Peptostreptococcus anaerobius with an Iron‐Based Nanozyme Reverses Ferroptosis Resistance and Enhances Antitumor Immunity in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An iron‐based nanozyme selectively eliminates intratumoral P. anaerobius while catalytically generating ROS to induce ferroptosis, synergistically suppressing colorectal cancer growth and activating anti‐tumor immunity through immunogenic cell death. ABSTRACT The intratumoral microbiota is a critical determinant of therapeutic outcomes in colorectal ...
