Robotic Control for Human–Robot Collaborative Assembly Based on Digital Human Model and Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a robotic control method for human–robot collaborative assembly based on a biomechanics‐constrained digital human model. Reinforcement learning is used to generate physiologically plausible human motion trajectories, which are integrated into a virtual environment for robot control learning.

Improving a fixed parameter tractability time bound for the shadow problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Consider a forest of k trees and n nodes together with a (partial) function σ mapping leaves of the trees to non-root nodes of other trees. Define the shadow of a leaf ℓ to be the subtree rooted at σ(ℓ).

Design and Modeling of a High‐Displacement, Skin‐Integrated Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator for Haptic Interfaces in Virtual Reality

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A flexible, skin‐integrated electromagnetic actuator is developed for wearable virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) haptic systems. A tunable design model enables control over displacement and resonance frequency. The system is validated through a custom VR application with a 6 × 4 actuator array, demonstrating real‐time, spatially targeted tactile ...

Removing $$\delta $$ δ -dependence in minimal interpretable model learning: distribution conditions and structural parameters

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences
Learning minimal interpretable models (e.g., decision trees, decision sets, and binary decision diagrams) is computationally challenging, yet increasingly important in high-stakes settings.

Inhibition of IGFBP4 in Granulosa Cells Improves Reproductive Performance and Maintains Fertility With Age via YAP Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 is upregulated in granulosa cells of aged ovaries across monkeys, mice, and humans. It inhibits YAP signaling, thereby suppressing cell proliferation and contributing to follicular dysfunction. Deletion of Igfbp4 in granulosa cells enhances ovulatory output, improves hormone profiles, and reproductive performance in aged female mice, suggesting ...

Risk-Aware Adaptive Safety Margins for Model Predictive Control with Orientation–Motion Coupled Barrier Functions in Dynamic Environments

open access: yesActuators
Safe navigation in dynamic environments remains challenging because classical distance-based constraints ignore the coupling between a robot’s translational motion and attitude dynamics, and fixed safety margins are either over-conservative or risky ...

A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics
