Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Fixed points, saddle points and universality [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1994
It is pointed out that the universality might seriously be violated by models with several fixed points.

Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

A New Approach to the Study of Fixed Point Theory for Simulation Functions

open access: yes, 2015
Let (X; d) be a metric space and T : X! X be a mapping. In this work, we introduce the mapping : (0;1) (0;1)! R, called the simulation function and the notion ofZ-contraction with respect to which generalize the Banach contraction principle and unify ...

A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

On nonlinear classical and fractional order dynamical system addressing COVID-19

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
This work studies a new SEIR type mathematical model for SARS-CoV-2. We show how immigration, protection, death rate, exposure, cure rate and interaction of infected people with healthy people affect the population.

A generalized metric space and related fixed point theorems

open access: yes, 2015
We introduce a new concept of generalized metric spaces for which we extend some well-known fixed point results including Banach contraction principle, Ćirić’s fixed point theorem, a fixed point result due to Ran and Reurings, and a fixed point result ...

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.
