Fix-Mahonian Calculus, I: two transformations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
We construct two bijections of the symmetric group S_n onto itself that enable us to show that three new three-variable statistics are equidistributed with classical statistics involving the number of fixed points. The first one is equidistributed with the triplet (fix, des, maj), the last two with (fix, exc, maj), where "fix," "des," "exc" and "maj ...

Approximate fixed point theorems [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Annals of the A.I.I. Cuza University, 2001
Under some weakenings of the condition of the well-known fixed point theorems of Brouwer, Kakutani and Banach the existence of approximate fixed points turns out to be still guaranteed. Also an approximate fixed point theorem is given for certain nonexpansive maps.

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

Fixed point theorems in modular spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
By iterative techniques,we present two fixed point theorems, whose modular formulations are relatively close to the Banach's fixed point theorem in the normed spaces. The first result concerns the fixed point of the strongly contraction mappings. The second result deals with the fixed point of the strict contraction mappings where the modular satisfies ...

KRAS and GNAS mutations in cell‐free DNA and in circulating epithelial cells in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms—an observational pilot study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

On‐treatment dynamics of circulating extracellular vesicles in the first‐line setting of patients with advanced non‐small cell lung cancer: the LEXOVE prospective study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LEXOVE prospective study evaluated plasma cell‐free extracellular vesicle (cfEV) dynamics using Bradford assay and dynamic light scattering in metastatic non‐small cell lung cancer patients undergoing first‐line treatments, correlating a ∆cfEV < 20% with improved median progression‐free survival in responders versus non‐responders.
