On a fixed point theorem of Pathak [PDF]
It is shown that the continuity of the mapping in Pathak′s fixed point theorem for normed spaces is not necessary.

The aim of this paper is to obtain some new integral type fixed point theorems for nonself weakly compatible mappings in symmetric spaces satisfying generalized (ψ,φ)-contractive conditions employing the common limit range property.

A fixed point theorem for distributions
The author studies, in a systematic form, the contractive behavior of the map \(S\) of distributions to distributions \(S(F)\overset{\mathcal D}=\sum_ i T_ i X_ i+C\), \((C,T=(T_ 1,T_ 2,\dots))\), \(X_ i\) are independent random variables with distribution function \(F\). Further the author obtains the higher and exponential moments of the fixed point.

3D Meta‐Atoms for High Confinement of Mid‐IR Radiation
Mid‐infrared, three‐dimensional circuit‐like resonators with extreme field confinement are experimentally demonstrated. Combining simulations, measurements, and analytical modelling, a physical interpretation and prediction of the resonant modes supported by the structure, including their resonant frequency and radiative and non‐radiative losses, is ...

Some new fixed point theorems for α-Geraghty contraction type maps in metric spaces
We generalize the results obtained in Cho et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2013:329, 2013) and give other conditions to prove the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point of α-Geraghty contraction type maps in the context of a complete metric space.

Quantum Emitters in Rhombohedral Boron Nitride
Rhombohedral boron nitride (rBN) is an emerging wide‐bandgap van der Waals (vdW) material with strong second‐order nonlinear optical properties. In this work, optically‐addressable spin defects and single‐photon emitters (SPEs) are fabricated deterministically in rBN.

In this paper, we first present some elementary results concerning cone metric spaces over Banach algebras. Next, by using these results and the related ones about c-sequence on cone metric spaces we obtain some new fixed point theorems for the ...

Incoherent Digital Holography Empowered by Wavefront and Information Engineering: A Review
Advancements in incoherent digital holography (IDH) have been achieved via wavefront engineering (using spatial light modulators, diffractive optics, and metasurfaces) and information engineering (using compressive sensing and deep learning). This paper presents an overview of IDH with wavefront and information engineering, paving the way toward its ...
