Breaking the Polarity–Coordination Coupling in Electrolyte Design for High‐Voltage Lithium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Steric and electronic co‐regulation of 2,2,2‐trifluoro‐N, N‐dimethylethylamide (DMTFA) decouples high polarity from strong Li+ coordination, creating an anion‐mediated pseudo‐weakly solvating electrolyte. This design lowers Li+ desolvation barriers, enhances Li+ mobility, and builds B‐, F‐, and N‐rich inorganic interphases, enabling stable 3.0–4.6 V ...

Investigation of the Effects of Hydrogen Addition on Explosion Characteristics and Pressure Fluctuations of Ethyl Acetate

open access: yesEnergies
This study systematically explored the characteristics of explosion and pressure fluctuations of ethyl acetate (EA)/hydrogen (H2)/air mixtures under different initial pressures (1–3 bar), H2 fractions (4%, 8%, 12%), and equivalence ratios of EA (0.5–1.4).

Taming a Blue Gas—Structure and Chemistry of Hexafluorothioacetone

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Hexafluorothioacetone (1), a blue gas at r.t., was synthesized by flash vacuum pyrolysis of its cyclic dimer at 660°C. We discuss fundamental properties of elusive 1, including single‐crystal structure and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, despite its tendency to dimerize even at –74°C.

A Neural Network-Based Flame Structure Feature Extraction Method for the Lean Blowout Recognition

open access: yesAerospace
A flame’s structural feature is a crucial parameter required to comprehensively understand the interaction between turbulence and flames. The generation and evolution processes of the structure feature have rarely been investigated in lean blowout (LBO ...

Advancements in CO2 Capture Technologies: A Review of Amine Absorption and Alternative Methods for Post‐Combustion Integration

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Carbon capture technologies are poised to become one of the primary focuses regarding the achievement of net‐zero emissions by the year 2050. In these technologies, particular attention is given to post‐combustion CO2 capture, which is more easily implemented at existing power stations and other industries.

Comparative Study of High Voltage Spinel∥Lithium Titanate Lithium‐ion Batteries in Ethylene Carbonate Free Electrolytes

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
FEC and sulfone‐based co‐solvents are investigated as EC‐free electrolytes for LNMO∥LTO cells. FEC‐containing electrolytes demonstrate enhanced electrochemical stability by stabilizing the CEI and SEI layers, mitigating transition metal migration. Conversely, sulfone electrolytes form thinner CEIs and thick, sulfur‐rich SEIs, which are less effective ...

Heat-loss effects on the chaotic behavior of cellular premixed flames generated by intrinsic instability

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2007
Heat-loss effects on the chaotic behavior of cellular premixed flames generated by intrinsic instability were studied by two-dimensional unsteady calculations of reactive flows based on the compressible Navier-Stokes equation.
