Flame speeds and stretch effects in counterflow aluminum flames
2015The characterization of flame propagation of reactive particles in gas suspension has been done either indirectly, such as from pressure traces in constant-volume combustion bombs, or with more traditional techniques such as flame tubes and Bunsen burners.

Flame Speed and Velocity Measurements in Premixed Hydrogen-Enriched Flames
Volume 3: Combustion, Fuels and Emissions, Parts A and B, 2008Measurements of the velocity field and burning velocity are reported for a swirl-stabilized premixed laboratory scale burner. Of specific interest in the present study is the role of hydrogen addition in premixed methane flames. Because of the high flame speeds associated with hydrogen, flames enriched with hydrogen are prone to flashback.
