Formation of Lean Premixed Surface Flame Using Porous Baffle Plate and Flame Holder

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2013
A lean premixed surface flame has many advantages including low CO(Carbon Monoxide) and NOx(Nitrogen Oxide) emission and applicability of a small combustion volume leading to compact design.

Investigation of the Effects of Plasma Discharges on Methane Decomposition for Combustion Enhancement of a Lean Flame

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
The present work focuses on the impact of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma actuators (PAs) on non-premixed lifted flame stabilization in a methane CH4-air Bunsen burner. Two coaxial DBD-PA configurations are considered.

Experimental Comparison of Working Region, Flame Stability, and Flame Height of LPG, DME, and DME-mixed LPG in an Atmospheric Diffusion Cylindrical Burner

open access: yesInternational Journal of Technology, 2020
This study investigates the possibility of substituting liquid petroleum gas (LPG) with dimethyl ether (DME) by considering the procedures of burner design in terms of working region, flame stability, and flame height. An experiment was designed using

Effect of N2 Replacement by CO2 in Coaxial-Flow on the Combustion and Emission of a Diffusion Flame

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
In this study, a double concentric burner burning methane with an annular coaxially-flowing oxidizer was adopted to operate the diffusion flame in lifted flame regime. The effects of coaxial-flow velocity, coaxial-flow composition variation through total

Sustainable Synthesis of Bio‐Based Magnetic and Conductive Wood for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation

Triple flame structure and diffusion flame stabilization

open access: yes, 1995
The stabilization of diffusion ñames is studied using asymptotic techniques and numerical tools. The configuration studied corresponda to parallel streams of cold oxidizer and fuel initially separated by a splitter píate. It is shown that stabilization of a diffusion flame may only occur in this situation by two processes.

Organic Electrochemical Transistor Channel Materials: Copolymerization Versus Physical Mixing of Glycolated and Alkoxylated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...
