T2T Genome Assembly and Multi‐Omics Data Reveal Terrestrial Adaptation and Mucus Biosynthesis in Tropical Leatherleaf Slug (Laevicaulis alte)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A gap‐free genome assembly and multi‐omics comparison of the terrestrial slug Laevichaulis alte with an aquatic relative reveal that expansion of the VEGF family orchestrates mucus production, lipid metabolism, and immune defense—highlighting key molecular innovations for conquering life on land.

Identification of influent factors on surface integrity in nickel-base superalloy drilling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
For the critical rotating components in aeronautical industry, the metallurgical quality achieved after machining conditions could determine their mechanical behaviour in fatigue. To guarantee this quality, the tools, materials and cutting conditions are

A Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas of the Ovine Rumen Microbiome Characterizes Lineage‐Specific Metabolic Shifts Associated with Host Heat Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

ESTIMATION OF SURFACE ROUGHNESS AND FLANK WEAR IN MILLING OF INCONEL 625 SUPERALLOY

open access: yesSurface Review and Letters, 2021
The main objective of this work is to experimentally investigate and statistically evaluate the effects of the milling parameters on surface roughness (Ra) and flank wear (Vb) in the milling of Inconel 625. Thus, milling experiments on different cutting conditions with Physical vapor deposition (PVD) and Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) coated inserts ...

Tandem Duplication‐Driven Neofunctionalization of UDP‐Glycosyltransferases Shapes the Diversification of Triterpenoid Saponins in the Cucurbitaceae

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.
