QSPR Analysis of Flash Points

Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences, 2001
A quantitative structure property relationship study of the flash point of a diverse set of 271 compounds provided a general three-parameter QSPR model (R(2) = 0.9020, R(2)(cv) = 0.8985, s = 16.1). Use of the experimental boiling point as a descriptor gives a three-descriptor equation with R(2) = 0.9529.

Flash Point

1997
The crime of mass murder is surrounded by myth, false assumptions, and misinformation. It is frequently sensationalized in the press, while the complex motivations of the perpetrator are ignored or soon forgotten. The mass murderer is rarely a crazed killer who lashes out against his victims in a mindless frenzy of violence. This book examines not only

Illuminating Flash Point: Comprehensive Prediction Models

Molecular Informatics, 2014
AbstractFlash point is an important property of chemical compounds that is widely used to evaluate flammability hazard. However, there is often a significant gap between the demand for experimental flash point data and their availability. Furthermore, the determination of flash point is difficult and costly, particularly for some toxic, explosive, or ...

Subcommittee XVII (Flash Point)

1953
Subcommittee XVII on Flash Point was formed in 1950 to reconsider the question of standardizing the Tag open cup flash point procedure. In order to clarify the reason for the establishment of this committee, it is necessary to go back in the records of Subcommittee V of ASTM Committee D-1, formerly known as Subcommittee XI on Paint Thinners Other Than ...

Flash Point Performance Evaluation

2014
Abstract : The primary question of this program was whether ASTM D6450 CCCFP is a suitable alternative to the military referee standard, ASTM D93 Pensky-Martens. The results generated in this program over a range of relevant samples, from TS1 to F76, show that ASTM D6450 provides a reliable answer when compared to ASTM D93.

Note: Correlation of flash points

Fire and Materials, 1991
AbstractA general correlation has been obtained for prediction of closed‐cup flash points of organic compounds from their normal boiling points and specific gravity. Predicted flash points are within an average deviation of 8.301 of the reported values.
