Development of 17‐in. “pure flat” color‐monitor tube
Journal of the Society for Information Display, 1997Abstract— A perfectly flat‐face color‐monitor tube with 0.24‐mm‐pitch stripe screen has been developed. The anisotropically tensioned mask with slot holes has made it possible. The bonded front glass plate with conductive A/R (anti‐reflection) coating satisfies TCO regulation and the high performance new DQ‐DAF electron gun has been introduced.

Tests on Deflection of Flat Oval Bourdon Tubes
Journal of Basic Engineering, 1959To fill the gap in knowledge of Bourdon tube deflection data, the method and results of tests on 70 varied flat oval Bourdon tubes are given. The results are compared against published design data. The results are evaluated to determine the function of the deflection with respect to geometric parameters.

High power He–Ne laser with flat discharge tube
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2006A high-power He–Ne laser with a flat discharge tube has been realized. Its output power can be enhanced by increasing the transverse size of the discharge tube. This high-power flat He–Ne laser tube of 1.4 m discharge length can achieve above 180 mW of output power at a wavelength of 0.6328 µm.
