Flattening functions on flowers [PDF]

open access: yesErgodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, 2007
AbstractLet T be an orientation-preserving Lipschitz expanding map of the circle ${\mathbb T}$. A pre-image selector is a map $\tau : {\mathbb T} \to {\mathbb T}$ with finitely many discontinuities, each of which is a jump discontinuity, and such that τ(x)∈T−1(x) for all $x\in {\mathbb T}$.

Use of magnetic sheets in vertical deformation treatment of textile supports of contemporary paintings

open access: yesGe-conservación
The practice developed during a conservation and restoration intervention does not always follow common or traditional standards, whether due to technical limitations, or space constraints related to the size of the works, or by the material ...

Radiometric Terrain Flattening of Geocoded Stacks of SAR Imagery

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
We have described an efficient approach to radiometrically flatten geocoded stacks of calibrated synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data for terrain-related effects.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

An Interferogram Re-Flattening Method for InSAR Based on Local Residual Fringe Removal and Adaptively Adjusted Windows

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
InSAR technology uses the geometry between antennas and targets to obtain DEM and deformation; therefore, accurate orbit information, which can provide reliable geometry, is the prerequisite for InSAR processing.
