Flavonoidi pronadeni u medu posjeduju antioksidacijsku aktivnost koja svrstava med u namirnice zdrave prehrane. U radu je dat literaturni pregled iz kojeg se vidi koji su flavonoidi prisutni u medu i u kojim kolicinama.

2019In this bachelor thesis were described flavonoids, their chemical structure, properties and significance. Furthermore, the morphology of the genera Mentha L., Salvia L. and Origanum L. was described with a focus on the correct taxonomic classification and brief characteristics of the varieties.

However, as it is a transition metal, it can participate in Fenton reaction resulting in generation of free radicals and oxidative damage to tissues.
