Amaran:An Unmanned Robotic Coconut Tree Climber and Harvester
IEEE/ASME transactions on mechatronics, 2021There is an acute shortage of human coconut tree climbers to harvest coconuts in India and other developing countries. The consequential diminished availability of skilled tree climbers, to pass along the trade secrets to the succeeding generations ...

INVESTIGATION OF THE PROCESS OF FLATTENING STEMS DURING FLAX HARVESTING
Tractors and Agricultural MachineryBACKGROUND. When preparing flax straw using the dew retting method, uniformity of the raw material’s technological parameters along the length of the stems is not ensured, which reduces the yield and quality of the fiber.

International Biodeterioration, 1990
Abstract Increasing the frequency of misting of flax plants which had been treated with the herbicide glyphosate also tended to increase the numbers of microbial isolates and increase retting. Fungicides, applied at weekly intervals, suppressed the numbers of fungi but increased the numbers of bacterial isolates; they also decreased retting.

Pre‐harvest retting of flax: effects of water stress on uptake and efficacy of glyphosate
Annals of Applied Biology, 1988SUMMARYThe effects of water stress on the uptake, translocation and efficacy of glyphosate in flax were investigated in relation to pre‐harvest retting.Glyphosate (applied at a rate equivalent to 1.44 kg a.e. ha‐1 at 0, 10, 20 or 30 days after the start of flowering) caused little desiccation of flax grown in pots under restricted watering.
