3D reconstruction of a thin flexible disc in a vortical flow
To improve our understanding of how deformableobjects are transported in flows, it is necessaryto develop new experimental tools capable of accuratelymeasuring the evolution of their deformations. We present a reconstruction process for sheet-like objectsutilizing Thin-Plate Splines (TPS), providing accessto the object’s 3D position and deformation ...

A Balancing Method for Multi-Disc Flexible Rotors without Trial Weights
Rotor dynamic balancing is a classical problem. Traditional balancing methods such as the influence coefficient method and the modal balancing method, have low balancing efficiency because they need to run many times to add trial weights.

Investigation of the torsional stiffness of flexible disc coupling
Calculation of flexible coupling torsional stiffness is required when analyzing the torsional vibrations of the reciprocating machinery train. While having the lowest torsional stiffness of all the elements of the train, flexible coupling has a significant influence on the natural frequencies of torsional vibration.

Numerical and Experimental Investigations of Coupling Effects in Anisotropic Elastic Rotors
It is known that in elastic disc-shaft systems in particular, the one-nodal-diameter mode of the discs can be highly coupled with the bending modes of the shaft.
