A Flexible Sensor Technology for the Distributed Measurement of Interaction Pressure [PDF]
We present a sensor technology for the measure of the physical human-robot interaction pressure developed in the last years at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. The system is composed of flexible matrices of opto-electronic sensors covered by a soft silicone cover.

Inductance-Based Flexible Pressure Sensor for Assistive Gloves [PDF]
This paper presents an inductance-based flexible pressure sensor to support the tactile communication between deafblind people. The pressure sensor was realized with a soft ferromagnetic elastomer and a 17μm-thick coil fabricated on a 50 μm thick flexible polyimide sheet.

Flexible Pressure Sensors: Modeling and Experimental Characterization
AbstractFlexible capacitive pressure sensors fabricated with nanocomposites were experimentally characterized and results compared with simulations from analytical modeling. Unlike traditional diaphragm silicon pressure sensors, the flexible nanocomposite sensors present a linear response over a large pressure range due to the changes in the volume of ...

Flexible Temperature-Pressure Organic Sensor [PDF]
Our work intends to develop dual-parameter pressure-temperature sensors by taking advantage of the independent thermoelectric and piezo resistive effects in a single flexible and compressible conductive foam. Such device allows to make measurements of simultaneous temperature and pressure monitoring by transducing external stimuli into separate ...
