To satisfy the requirements of high speed, large capacity and constant winding, a textile winding rotor needs to work in a wide rotation speed range and frequently pass through critical speed points. Thus, the winding rotor adopts the flexible long shaft

Dynamic Characteristics of a Misaligned Rigid Rotor System with Flexible Supports
A misaligned rigid rotor system with flexible supports differing from the traditional flexible rotor system, which refers to its practical rotating center line determined by supports offset from the theoretical one, often suffers support structure damage

Model-based initial residual unbalance identification for rotating machines in one and two planes using an iterative inverse approach [PDF]
To achieve acceptable dynamical behavior for large rotating machines operating at subcritical speeds, the balancing quality check at the planned service speed in the installation location is often demanded for machines such as turbo-generators or high ...

Stability Analysis of a Flexible Bladed-Rotor [PDF]
In any high-performance turbo-machinery, instability and damage are commonly occurring problems. The aim of this paper is to present a stability analysis of a fully-bladed flexible rotor. The flexural vibrations of the blades as well as those of the shaft are considered; the energetic approach used includes the effect of the rotational inertia.

Unbalanced vibration of a flexible rotor supported on two bearings is analysed in this paper for the case of flexible support with viscous damping. The analytical solution is obtained by using the concept of "forced mode", which makes the vibration phenomena for the system in consideration more understandable than before.
