Moisture‐Adaptive Triboelectric Materials and Platforms: Design Strategies, Performance Enhancement, and Applications in Energy Harvesting and Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review summarizes moisture‐adaptive strategies that enable triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) to operate across diverse moisture conditions. It examines moisture‐management methods, including exclusion, directional transport, removal, and utilization, with charge‐regulation approaches based on interfacial, dielectric, and structural engineering.

Linearisation of a 3D printed flexible tactile sensor based on piezoresistive sensing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We show that the output of a 3D printed, flexible tactile sensor can be improved markedly using a differential measurement. We 3D printed a cantilever beam with two symmetric piezoresistive sensors.

EndoTac: An Endoscopic Camera-Based Tactile Sensor with High Sensitivity for Minimally Invasive Surgery. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
EndoTac presents a trocar‐compatible endoscopic vision‐based tactile sensor that uses a convex mirror to enlarge side‐facing tactile coverage during minimally invasive vessel palpation. Distorted tactile images are unwarped and processed by a learning model to estimate vascular deformation, enabling sensitive, spatially distributed tactile perception ...

Low‐Outgassing Liquid Metal–Silicone Composites for Multifunctional Space Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Integrating liquid metal microdroplets into a space‐grade silicone creates a multifunctional composite while preserving its inherent flexibility and low‐outgassing behavior. The composite has 11×$\times$ higher thermal conductivity while remaining thermally stable and maintaining a total mass loss of ≤$\le$ 1% under thermal vacuum testing.
