Bone‐Inspired Recyclable Composites for Damage‐Tolerant Circular Materials
Bone‐inspired architected composites are developed by combining osteon‐like reinforcements with a recyclable Elium thermoplastic matrix. The hierarchical architecture redirects cracks and promotes energy dissipation, while enabling recovery of intact, aligned, load‐bearing reinforcement units that retain their original stiffness, revealing a route ...

Inspired by skeletal muscles’ precision and endurance, CoilLCE integrates a self‐sensing liquid crystal elastomer/graphene artificial muscle with an embedded Joule‐heating copper coil, enabling closed‐loop multistage actuation with programmable intermediate states (strain accuracy of 2%), and antagonistic coordination (32% total strain). These features

Isoperimetric Inequalities for Moments of Inertia and Stability of Stationary Motions of a Flexible Thread [PDF]
Summary: It is well known that the maximal value of the central moment of inertia of a closed homogeneous thread of fixed length is achieved on a curve in the form of a circle. This isoperimetric property plays a key role in investigating the stability of stationary motions of a flexible thread.
