Effect of Cation Contamination of Gas Diffusion Layer on Water Management and Performance of PEMFCs
This study investigates Cr3+ contamination effects on GDL performance in PEMFCs, revealing hydrophobicity loss, pore structure changes, and Cr2O3 formation. Durability tests show a six‐fold increase in voltage decay rate, highlighting Cr3+‐induced degradation mechanisms that accelerate fuel cell failure.
