Seismic Retrofit of Non‐Seismically Designed 3D Beam‐Column Joints With Post‐Installed Steel Haunches

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The paper presents experimental results on two‐dimensional and three‐dimensional full‐scale exterior reinforced concrete beam‐column joints subassemblies retrofitted with the Fully Fastened Haunch Retrofit Solution. The specimens were non‐seismically designed with no transverse reinforcement in the joint core, thus making them vulnerable to ...

Evaluation of Present Tectonic Stress Field and Permeability of Coalbed Methane Reservoirs by Inversion of Logging Data From Longtan Formation, Dahebian Block

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The permeability of coal reservoirs is predominantly controlled by the present tectonic stress field. This study systematically integrates macro‐ and micro‐scale analytical methods to investigate the controlling mechanisms of tectonic stress on pore‐fracture characteristics and permeability in the Longtan Formation coal reservoirs.

Effect of Ammonium Polyphosphate/Silicate Content on the Postfire Mechanics of Epoxy Glass‐Fiber Composites Using Facile Chocolate Bar‐Inspired Structures

open access: yesFire and Materials, Volume 49, Issue 3, Page 329-346, April 2025.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the postfire mechanical properties of epoxy glass‐fiber reinforced composites (EP GFRCs) using increasing concentrations of ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and inorganic silicate (InSi) to modify the char and fire residue.

Biomechanical Characterization of Metacarpal Fixation: Internal Load Determination and Evaluation of a Novel Adhesive Osteosynthesis

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metal plates are commonly used for the fixation of metacarpal fractures, but are associated with complications such as tendon adhesions that impair finger mobility. AdhFix, a novel osteosynthesis material, may reduce these complications, but its biomechanical performance in the metacarpal region remains untested.
