Optimization of Ski Attitude for the In-Flight Aerodynamic Performance of Ski Jumping

open access: yesBiology, 2022
The control and adjustment of in-flight attitudes are critical to enlarging the flight distance of ski jumping. As one of the most important gears, the skis provide sufficient lift and drag forces for the athletes, and thus their in-flight attitudes ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Evaluation of Airspace Operation Safety Level based on PMS [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
The point merge (PM) flight procedure is a new type of flight procedure of performance -based navigation (PBN). The capacity of the point merge procedure is evaluated through the parameters of the point merge flight procedure.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Satellite Capacity Dimensioning for in-Flight Internet Services in the North Atlantic Region [PDF]

open access: yes22nd AIAA International Communications Satellite Systems Conference & Exhibit 2004 (ICSSC), 2004
In this paper we provide an estimation of the net satellite capacity needed to reliably offer In-Flight Internet services to aircraft flying in the North-Atlantic region. For this work we took into account the expected dynamic usage of AirCom (Aeronautical Communications) Internet services, the average aircraft’ cabin configurations and the ...

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,
