'I-V Characteristic and Crystal Structural Of a-As/c-Si Heterojunctions

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2014
In this research the a-As flims have been prepared by thermal evaporation with thickness 250 nm and rata of deposition r_d(1.04nm/sec) as function to annealing temperature (373 and 473K), from XRD analysis we can see that the degree of crystalline ...

Study of the optical proprieties of copper oxide nanoparticles prepared by PLD method

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Pure Science, 2019
Nano CuO thin films on glass substrates were prepared at a constant temperature of (300°C), by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) using Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm wavelength and five deposition energies (400, 500, 600, 700 and 800 mJ) with fixed pulses (300 ...

FLIM-FRET for Cancer Applications [PDF]

open access: yesCurrent Molecular Imaging, 2015
Optical imaging assays, especially fluorescence molecular assays, are minimally invasive if not completely noninvasive, and thus an ideal technique to be applied to live specimens. These fluorescence imaging assays are a powerful tool in biomedical sciences as they allow the study of a wide range of molecular and physiological events occurring in ...

The economic boom in journals for teachers: taking a look at advertising

open access: yesRivista di Storia dell'Educazione, 2017
In this article, I focus on the Italian economic boom of the 1950s and 1960s via analysis of the advertising messages featured in two leading contemporary journals for teachers that were representative of distinct religious/cultural perspectives ...

Achieving 21% External Quantum Efficiency for Nondoped Solution‐Processed Sky‐Blue Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence OLEDs by Means of Multi‐(Donor/Acceptor) Emitter with Through‐Space/‐Bond Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2020
Although numerous thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been demonstrated, efficient blue or even sky‐blue TADF‐based nondoped solution‐processed devices are still very rare.

Mutant p53R273H disrupts PDPK1 homodimerization and contributes to PDPK1 activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
How mutant p53R273H drives AKT signaling is unclear. We show that p53R273H, but not wild‐type, directly binds PDPK1 via a mutation‐dependent conformational change. This interaction disrupts inhibitory PDPK1 homodimerization and enhances AKT phosphorylation.

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,

Using fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy to quantify molecular dynamics within cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Microscopy techniques like fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) and number and brightness analysis (N&B) allow to quantify concentrations, diffusion rates, and oligomerization of fluorescently labeled molecules in the living cell. In this protocol the principles of how to set up these types of experiments are described including calibration ...
