FLIPPED VOLTAGE FOLLOWER ANALOG NONLINEAR CIRCUITS

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2012
This paper describes squaring and square-rooting circuits operable on low voltage supplies, with their application proposed hereby as vector-summation and four-quadrant multiplier circuits. These circuits make use of a flipped voltage follower (FVF) as fundamental circuit. A detail classification of basic topologies derived from the FVF is given.

A Flipped Voltage Follower Second-Order Bandpass Filter

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2017
This paper presents a compact second-order bandpass filter developed by combining the well-known flipped voltage follower circuit as a transconductance network with two capacitors. Operated in the subthreshold region, the filter’s center frequency can be adjusted linearly by varying the bias current.

The Flipped Voltage Follower: Theory and Applications

2013
The ”flipped voltage follower (FVF)” is an enhanced buffer cell widely employed for low-power and/or low voltage operation. The applications of the FVF and its variations in analog and mixed signal (AMS) circuit design have increased continuously over the last few years. These are specially promising in deep submicrometer CMOS technology.

Flipped Voltage Follower Based Low Dropout (LDO) Voltage Regulators: A Tutorial Overview

2018 31st International Conference on VLSI Design and 2018 17th International Conference on Embedded Systems (VLSID), 2018
This tutorial introduces flipped voltage follower (FVF) based low dropout voltage regulators (LDOs) and their recent advances in the literature. Conventional off-chip output capacitor LDOs deploy an off-chip output capacitor in the range of hundreds of nanofarads to tens of microfarads with an inherent equivalent series resistance (ESR) in order to ...

Novel Current Mirrors Based on Folded Flipped Voltage Follower Configuration

Wireless Personal Communications, 2021
An efficient low voltage, low input resistance, folded flipped voltage follower current mirror (F-FVFCM) has been proposed. This circuit is further utilized to design very high output resistance, folded cascode flipped voltage follower current mirror (FC-FVFCM).

Low voltage rail-to-rail operational amplifier based on flipped voltage followers

48th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005., 2005
A low voltage differential pair or flipped differential pair is presented. The design of a rail to rail op-amp with an input stage using complementary flipped differential pairs and a novel gm control circuit is discussed. Simulation results in 0.5/spl mu/m CMOS technology with nominal PMOS and NMOS threshold voltages of 0.75V and -0.95V show input ...

Low-voltage and high-speed flipped voltage follower using DTMOS transistor

2014 International Conference on Signal Propagation and Computer Technology (ICSPCT 2014), 2014
In the past body terminal was considered as an exclusive source of unwanted second order effects. But recently use of body terminal is becoming an attractive opportunity for improving the performance of analog integrated circuits. Low frequency harmonic distortion stems from the body effect and is dependent on body effect coefficient.

Very Low Voltage MOS Translinear Loops Based on Flipped Voltage Followers

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2004
A novel technique for operating MOS Translinear loops at very low supply voltages is described, based on the use of Flipped Voltage Followers for biasing the loops. The resulting topologies, suited to standard CMOS processes, can be successfully applied to a varied repertory of low-voltage analog circuits, such as squarers, multipliers, filters ...

Voltage buffer compensation using Flipped Voltage Follower in a two-stage CMOS op-amp

2015 IEEE 58th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2015
In Miller and current buffer compensation techniques, the compensation capacitor often loads the output node. If a voltage buffer is used in feedback, the compensation capacitor obviates the loading on the output node. In this paper, we introduce an implementation of a voltage buffer compensation using a Flipped Voltage Follower (FVF) for stabilizing a
