An investigation on role of salinity, pH and DO on heavy metals elimination throughout estuarial mixture [PDF]
One of the most paramount processes that play a considerable role in reducing the concentration of heavy metals during estuarine mixing is flocculation.

Histone chaperones and the Rrm3p helicase regulate flocculation in S. cerevisiae
Background Biofilm formation or flocculation is a major phenotype in wild type budding yeasts but rarely seen in laboratory yeast strains. Here, we analysed flocculation phenotypes and the expression of FLO genes in laboratory strains with various ...

Harvesting of Microalgae by Flocculation
Due to increasing demands for microalgal biomass and products originating from microalgae, large-scale production systems are necessary. However, current microalgal production technologies are not cost-effective and are hindered by various bottlenecks ...

PEA nanoenzymes are assembled from L‐arginine and EGCG. The nitrogen element in arginine enhances the thermodynamic feasibility of H2O2 production through PEA's oxygen reduction catalysis, enabling nitrogen‐dependent H2O2 release. Intradermal delivery of PEA via microneedles promotes efficient H2O2 synthesis, thereby stimulating regrowth in telogen ...

Emulsion formation and stabilization by biomolecules: the leading role of cellulose [PDF]
Emulsion stabilization by native cellulose has been mainly hampered because of its insolubility in water. Chemical modification is normally needed to obtain water-soluble cellulose derivatives.

An ionic liquid‐based shear‐thickening fluid (ILSTF) exhibits lubricated dynamics from strong shear thickening to impact‐triggered jamming. A persistent nanometric solvation layer around silica governs both the shear thickening saturation in rheology and jamming front propagation under dynamic impact compression.

Carbohydrate carbon sources induce loss of flocculation of an ale-brewing yeast strain [PDF]
Aims: To identify the nutrients that can trigger the loss of flocculation under growth conditions in an ale-brewing strain, Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC 1195. Methods and Results: Flocculation was evaluated using the method of Soares, EX.

An Ir‐based reversible copper electrodeposition variable‐emissivity device achieved over 8000 cycles with just 11% radiative temperature variation decay. This stability stems from Ir's inherent inertness, high conductivity, and strength, which collectively suppress cracking and corrosion.

Fiber Orientation as a Means to Control Formation on the Ultra-Former Through Changes in the Spouting Jet to Wire Speed Ratio and Stock Consistency in the Headbox [PDF]
The Ultra-Former is a new type of multi-ply board machine. It uses a cylinder mold without a vat and has a stock delivery system that uses a headbox similar to that found on a fourdrinier machine.
