Lasianthus phucanhensis sp. nov. (Rubiaceae) from Vietnam

Lasianthus phucanhensis (Rubiaceae), a new species from Hoa Binh Province, northwestern Vietnam, is described and illustrated. In addition, the opportunity is taken to review the typification of all Lasianthus spp. from Vietnam. Three lectotypes are selected for Lasianthus kamputensis Pierre ex Pit., Lasianthus dinhensis Pierre ex Pit.

A new old species of Tetracera (Dilleniaceae) from Espinhaço Range, Brazil

Two new endemic species of Portulaca (Portulacaceae) from the Brazilian Pampa grasslands

Portulaca L. is a monophyletic, cosmopolitan genus of succulent plants comprising ca 153 species, with particularly high diversity in xerophytic ecosystems in tropical and subtropical regions. Based on morphological evidence, we describe and illustrate two new species from the Brazilian Pampa, Portulaca guaritensis and Portulaca guenoa.

Uptake, metabolism, and bioremediation of neonicotinoid insecticides in soil–plant systems: A review

This review summarizes the uptake and metabolic transformation of neonicotinoid insecticides in plants, showing that some metabolites exhibit higher toxicity. We also critically assess promising bioremediation strategies using microbes and plant–microbe interactions to reduce residue contamination.
