The sorting nexin Snx21 promotes flotillin‐mediated endocytosis

In this study, we describe a novel function of the previously uncharacterized Snx21 protein as a specific positive regulator of flotillin‐mediated endocytic trafficking. Snx21 is recruited to endosomal membranes via binding to PI(3)P, and it colocalizes with flotillins on the surface of late endosomes.

Constrictions and shear stress are key determinants of amyloidogenic light chain (AL) amyloidosis

In this study, we investigate how flow constrictions and shear stress trigger cardiac antibody light chain (AL) fibril formation and deposition. We mimic the mechanical forces exerted by the heart and the microvasculature network using a mini‐peristaltic pump setup and a grid‐type microchannel network, respectively.

Divergent roles of ent‐kaurene oxidase paralogs in rice momilactone biosynthesis

Rice contains a five‐gene tandem array of genes encoding members of the ent‐kaurene oxidase (KO) family, with OsKOL4 and OsKOL5 playing divergent roles in momilactone metabolism, but both acting in the production of antifungal and antibacterial phytoalexins, which are important for disease resistance.
