Numerical Study of the Effect of Radius of Curvature on the Flow Pattern Around a T-Shaped Spur Dike Located at a 90 Degree Bend with a Rigid Bed [PDF]

open access: yesمهندسی منابع آب, 2014
Spur dikes are rigid hydraulic structures built out from a river bank used in order to protect it from the rushing water. These structures also play significant roles in changing the river's depth, in causing sedimentation, in controlling erosion along ...

1D–3D Coupling Algorithm of Gas Flow for the Valve System in a Compression Ignition Engine

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2021
Emission control devices such as selective catalytic reduction (SCR), exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), and scrubbers were installed in the compression ignition (CI) engine, and flow analysis of intake air and exhaust gas was required to predict the ...

Three-dimensional flow structures past a bio-prosthetic valve in an in-vitro model of the aortic root. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
The flow field past a prosthetic aortic valve comprises many details that indicate whether the prosthesis is functioning well or not. It is, however, not yet fully understood how an optimal flow scenario would look, i.e.

Measurable Residual Disease Monitoring During Treatment for Pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukemia in First Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Survival after relapse in pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains poor, highlighting the critical importance of identifying prognostic factors to guide optimal relapse management. Methods We investigated the prognostic impact of multiparameter flow cytometry (MFC) measurable residual disease (MRD) in 188 patients with first ...

3D flow field measurements outside nanopores

open access: yesReview of Scientific Instruments, 2022
We demonstrate a non-stereoscopic, video-based particle tracking system with optical tweezers to study fluid flow in 3D in the vicinity of glass nanopores. In particular, we used the quadrant interpolation algorithm to extend our video-based particle tracking to displacements out of the trapping plane of the tweezers.
