Flow Diverter
The flow diverter is a relatively new but revolutionary technology in the realm of Endo vascular management of complex cerebral aneurysms. The traditional approach in the past has been stent deployment assisted coil embolisation. However, this maybe associated with partial occlusion or late recanalisation of the aneurysm.

World Neurosurgery, 2022
The Tubridge flow diverter (FD) (MicroPort Medical Co. Ltd., Shanghai, China) is a novel device aimed at reconstructing the parent artery and eliminating the aneurysm. Numerical simulations based on virtual FD deployment allow the assessment of the complex nature of aneurismal flow changes before the actual intervention but are demanding on ...

Flow diverters for intracranial aneurysms
Innovative Neurosurgery, 2015Abstract The progressive establishment of endovascular management in treating intracranial aneurysms had lead to continuous technique advancements and development of innovative technologies. Flow diverters are “stent-like” devices currently used for complex unruptured aneurysms allowing endoluminal reconstruction ...

Development of a Smart Flow Diverter
SPE Bergen One Day Seminar, 2014Abstract In liner drilling operations the annular velocity of the drilling fluid drops significantly when it transits from the narrow cross section of the openhole-liner annulus into the increased annular volume between the casing and the drillpipe above the liner.

Cerebral Revascularization for Aneurysms in the Flow-Diverter Era
Neurosurgery, 2017Abstract BACKGROUND: Cerebral bypass has been an important tool in the treatment of complex intracranial aneurysms. The recent advent of flow-diverting stents (FDS) has expanded the capacity for endovascular arterial reconstruction.

Flow diverter treatment of cerebral blister aneurysms
Neuroradiology, 2017Blood blister-like aneurysms (BBA) are small, friable, broad-based aneurysms that represent high risk for rerupture. Treatment of BBA is challenging, and may include surgical wrapping, clipping, multiple overlapping stents, and/or coiling. Flow diversion is a rapidly evolving treatment strategy for intracranial aneurysms, but the evidence for its use ...

Aneurysm Treatment with Flow Diverters
2018Flow diversion is a novel treatment for brain aneurysms that works by redirecting blood flow away from the aneurysm. By placing a stent in the parent vessel that covers more of the opening to the aneurysm with mesh than traditional stents, blood flow is redirected away from entering the aneurysm.

Hunter Gatherer Research, 2015
Ethnographers of Congo Basin hunter-gatherers have emphasised ritual as a levelling mechanism that strengthens community spirit and mediates power evenly between individuals and subgroups. Pursuant to recent research with a Baka community in Cameroon, now largely abandoning the hunter-gatherer lifestyle, I analyse the mutual causal interactions between
