Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) test for detection of Trypanosoma evansi strain B
Camel Trypanosomiasis (Surra) is mainly caused by Trypanosoma evansi strains that express variable surface glycoprotein (VSG) RoTat 1.2 However, in Kenya a second causative strain that does not express RoTat 1.2 VSG (T. evansi type B) has been identified.

On the Dynamics of Open and Closed Loop Reverse Flow Catalytic Reactors
In this paper the dynamics of a reverse flow catalytic reactor with and without control are compared and discussed. The control system acts on the inlet gas temperature. Depending on flow direction the temperature is measured at one specific point at the

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Flow pattern in chandler loop - the artificial thrombus formation
In this paper a hydrodynamic approach is used to analyse carefully the flow field inChandler loop--the artificial thrombus formation. The results obtained show that near thelower meniscus where the thrombus is formed, there is a back flow accompanied ...

Monitoring Gas Void Fraction In Two-Phase Flow With Acoustic Emission [PDF]
The two-phase gas/liquid flow phenomenon can be encountered over a range of gas and liquid flow rates in the chemical engineering industry, particularly in oil and gas production transportation pipelines.

A new photobioreactor for continuous microalgal production in hatcheries based on external-loop airlift and swirling flow [PDF]
This study deals with the scale of a new photobioreactor for continuous microalgal production in hatcheries. The combination of the state-of-art with the constraints inherent to hatcheries has turned the design into a closed, artificially illuminated ...

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for
