Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Flow effects on jet profiles and multiplicities

open access: yes, 2005
We study the effects of low-$p_T$ collective flow on radiative energy loss from high-$p_T$ partons traversing the QCD medium created in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions. We illustrate this idea through three examples.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Prediction model for pressure loss of sphere column assembly in goaf and flow characteristics of porous media

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
As coal mines are mined deeper, the risk of thermodynamic disasters increases, and rapid prediction of flow loss in the goaf becomes key to precise fire prevention and extinguishing in coal mines.

An experimental trace gas investigation of fluid transport and mixing in a circular-to-rectangular transition duct [PDF]

open access: yes
An ethylene trace gas technique was used to map out fluid transport and mixing within a circular to rectangular transition duct. Ethylene gas was injected at several points in a cross stream plane upstream of the transition duct.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Effects of flow rate, shrinkage ratio and sediment content on head loss in triangular central measuring tanks

open access: yesGuan'gai paishui xuebao
【Objective】The triangular central measuring tank is widely used in irrigation systems for flow measurement and sediment transport monitoring. However, head loss in the tank, influenced by hydraulic and sediment parameters, affects its measurement ...

Universal scaling dependence of QCD energy loss from data driven studies

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we study the energy loss of jets in the QGP via the nuclear modification factor $R_{\textrm{AA}}$ for unidentified particles at high $p_{\textrm{T}}$ ($\gtrsim 10 \textrm{GeV}/c$) in and out of the reaction plane of the collision.

Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

Prediction of windage power loss in alternators [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
Simplified equations and constants, based on laminar and turbulent flow theory between parallel plates, estimate windage loss in rotating electrical machinery.
