The flow stress of polycrystalline aluminium
Philosophical Magazine, 1957Abstract It is shown that there is a strong correlation between flow stress and subgrain size in polycrystalline aluminium deformed in tension; the strength of the boundaries does not appear to depend on boundary angle. The variation of flow stress with temperature suggests that the strength controlling factor is elastic interaction.
