Labview-based FPGA implementation of sensor data acquisition for human body motion measurement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Measuring body motion is crucial to identify any abnormal neuromuscular control, biomechanical disorders and injury prevention in various applications such as rehabilitation [1], [2], sport science [3],[4], surveillance [5], and virtual reality [6].

Effect of sedimentary heterogeneities in the sealing formation on predictive analysis of geological CO2 storage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Numerical models of geologic carbon sequestration (GCS) in saline aquifers use multiphase fluid flow-characteristic curves (relative permeability and capillary pressure) to represent the interactions of the non-wetting CO2 and the wetting brine. Relative

Feasibility and Preliminary Efficacy of Integrative Neuromuscular Training for Childhood Cancer Survivors: A Pilot Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Permeability Estimation by Using the Modified and Conventional FZI Methods

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2018
There many methods for estimation of permeability. In this Paper, permeability has been estimated by two methods. The conventional and modified methods are used to calculate flow zone indicator (FZI).

Prostatic anatomical parameters correlate with clinical characteristics suggestive of benign prostatic hyperplasia

open access: yesAsian Journal of Andrology, 2021
We conducted the present study to assess the correlation of the prostatic anatomical parameters, especially the ratio of peripheral zone thickness and transitional zone thickness, with clinical and uroflowmetry characteristics suggestive of benign ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Upland Hillslope Groundwater Subsidy Affects Low‐Flow Storage–Discharge Relationship

open access: yesWater Resources Research, 2023
Large‐scale cross‐site scientific synthesis on low‐flow storage–discharge relation can promote developing transferable hypotheses on the interactions among critical zone attributes and on how such interactions affect catchments’ water vulnerabilities ...
