Production of Pot-mum Using Cuttings Differentiating Flower Buds
Horticultural Research (Japan), 2003 ポットマムの効率的な小鉢生産を目的として，花芽が分化した枝を挿し穂に用いる「花芽挿し」栽培について検討した． 「花芽挿し」の適期は，親株に対する短日処理を開始して2週間程度経過し，頂花の花芽が小花形成期に達した時期であった．実験に用いたスプレータイプのキクおよび一輪ギクともに，「花芽挿し」栽培によって栽培期間が大幅に短縮され，開花時にはコンパクトな草姿の植物が得られた．スプレータイプのキクの場合，「花芽挿し」栽培により着花数がやや減少したが，その中では多花性のイソギク交配種は着花数減少の程度が少なく，「花芽挿し」栽培により適すると考えられた．
